The Community Welfare Committee of the Indian Dentists Alliance in akuwait (IDAK) successfully conducted a Dental Awareness Camp on 14th December 2024 at Al Madrasuthul Islamiya School (AMI), Kuwait, offering free dental check-ups and oral health education to students of the institution.
The event witnessed quite an enthusiastic participation, with around 200 students aged between 5 and 15 years, benefitting from dental examinations. The camp aimed to promote oral hygiene practices among children and identify any early signs of dental issues.
IDAK's team of dedicated volunteers conducting the camp, included Dr. Neelima Kakkirala , Dr. Aastha Mehta, Dr. Ranjitha R S, Dr. Jane John Thomas, Dr. Shashikala Savla, Dr. Medhini Menon, Dr. Shiraz Usman and Dr. Gireesh Krishnan.
Drs. Jane and Ranjitha engaged the children through interactive learning activities, and in turn imparted important dental knowledge.
The initiative was highly appreciated by the parents and school authorities alike, for raising awareness about the importance of oral health. IDAK expresses its gratitude to Mr. Shibly, Principal of AMI and Mr. Rafeeq Ahmed, M.D., Mango Hypermarket, and chief patron of AMI, who were present at the camp, for their support towards IDAK'S community welfare initiatives.
