Bhavans Clinches Victory at the 11th Edition of the Inter-School Badminton Tournament Organized by IBAK

The 11th edition of the Inter-School Badminton Tournament, organized by the Indian Badminton Association of Kuwait (IBAK), has concluded with a stunning victory by Bhavans School, who were crowned the overall champions. The tournament, which took place at IBAK Gym, Salwa on 5th & 6th Dec 2024, saw fierce competition which attracted over 300 players from more than 40 schools, with FAIPS DPS securing the position of runner-up in a highly competitive field.

Bhavans School’s outstanding performance across multiple categories, including Under-11, Under-13, and Under-17 singles and doubles, earned them the overall championship trophy, while FAIPS DPS demonstrated excellent teamwork and skill to claim the second spot.

All the schools participated in the tourney with great enthusiasm and spirit. Many children were allowed to participate as “OPEN” category participants since there was no official representation from their respective schools.

The overall championship rolling trophy was presented to the proud Bhavans boys and girls in the presence of ardent followers of badminton in Kuwait. The runner up was FAIPS DPS-A and second runners up were ILOA. The kids showed their real talents and skills in singles & doubles of different age groups.

All the winners, runners and semi-finalists received medals and certificates for their outstanding achievements. Special awards were presented to the Most Promising Players, celebrating not only skill but also the positive spirit displayed by all participants.

Dr.Manimara Chozhan, IBAK chairman, stated : “The 11th edition of the Inter-School Badminton Tournament has been an incredible success. The competition level is rising every year, and it's inspiring to see so many talented players take part. We are proud to support these talented young athletes and look forward to nurturing more badminton stars in the years to come.”

IBAK is dedicated to fostering the growth of badminton at the grassroots level, providing young players with opportunities to develop their skills in a competitive environment. Through events like the Inter-School Badminton Tournament, IBAK continues to encourage youth participation and to cultivate the next generation of badminton champions.
