The Indian Community School, Senior, warmly welcomed dignitaries, staff, parents, and students to the highly anticipated Higher Education Fair 2024, organized by The Indian Community School, Kuwait in collaboration with Indians in Kuwait, on 6th and 7th December, 2024. The sixth edition of the event offered the Indian students in Kuwait an exceptional opportunity to explore affordable higher education options and directly engage with representatives from esteemed universities and colleges both in India and abroad. The fair significantly expanded students' academic perspectives, presenting them with a wide array of educational possibilities.

The grand event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, H.E. Noshrevan Lomtatidze, the Ambassador of Georgia to the State of Kuwait, whose participation elevated the occasion. Among the dignitaries were Mr. Sajith Thomas, Career Counsellor & Educational Expert, Dr. T. P. Sethumadhavan, Career Consultant Director, Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Vinukumar Nair, Hon. Vice Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Sunoj Nambiar, Founder and Director of IIK, Mr. Wilson D’Souza, Director Marketing of IIK, Mr. George Mathew, Director Finance of IIK, Father James Tuscano, Principal of Indian English Academy School, Mr. Anoop Kumar, Principal of New Gulf Indian School, Dr. V. Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK Senior, Mr. Rajesh Nair, Principal of ICSK Amman, Mrs. Sherly Dennis, Director of Indian School of Excellence and Mrs. Sheeja C., Principal of ICSK Junior.

The ICSK – IIK Higher Education Fair was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, H.E. Noshrevan Lomtatidze, who unveiled the official logo of the ICSK-IIK Higher Education Fair. The event's commencement was celebrated with sweet treats shared by the dignitaries and the ICSK family. Mr. Shaik Abdul Rahiman, Honorary Chairman to the Board of Trustees presented a memento, a token of gratitude and appreciation to the honorable Chief Guest, H.E. Noshrevan Lomtatidze. Following the opening ceremony, the dignitaries explored the Expo, which served as a vibrant platform for connecting students and parents with leading universities and colleges from around the world.

The Higher Education Fair featured a four-part program: the Career Mapped Aptitude Test, Personalized Career Counselling Sessions, Career Talk Sessions, and the University Expo. The Career Mapped Aptitude Test, conducted by Mr. Sajith Thomas, a renowned Career Counsellor & Educational Expert attracted hundreds of students and provided valuable insights into their interests, strengths, and skills. The results were followed by one-on-one personalized Career Counselling Sessions with both students and parents, ensuring that each participant received tailored advice based on their unique profiles.

The University Expo, one of the main highlights of the fair, featured 45 prestigious Business Schools, Medical and Engineering Colleges, Tourism Management Institutions, and Universities from both India and abroad. This event allowed students and parents to meet directly with university representatives, gaining firsthand knowledge about various academic programs, admission procedures, eligibility criteria, scholarships, student life, and more. The Expo provided a crucial opportunity for attendees to gain clarity on various study programs and plan their academic journeys accordingly.

In addition, five informative Career Talk Sessions were conducted specifically for students in grades 9 to 12. These sessions witnessed a sea of participation, with over thousands of students and parents attending the seminar. Dr. T. P. Sethumadhavan, a distinguished Career Consultant Director, led the sessions, addressing a wide range of topics related to career planning, application strategies, and emerging trends across industries. The sessions also featured engaging question-and-answer interactions, where students had the chance to address their doubts and gain insights into various career options, further enhancing their understanding of the opportunities available to them.

Students expressed their appreciation for the variety of institutions and the quality of information provided, which greatly aided them in making informed educational decisions. Positive feedback highlighted the success of the fair in clarifying the complexities of higher education.

The ICSK-IIK Higher Education Fair 2024 proved to be a one-stop destination for students and parents to seek guidance on career choices and academic opportunities. It was an event that not only identified the potential of young minds but also offered personalized counselling to steer them in the right direction. By bringing together top educational institutions and providing expert career guidance, the fair played a crucial role in shaping students' perceptions of higher education and inspiring them to pursue their dreams.
