IMA Children’s Fest 2024: A Celebration of Talent, Faith, and Unity

To encourage the skills and talents of the young generation while nurturing Islamic values and ethics has been always the goal and motive of Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait. Alhamdulillah Keeping in mind this fact IMA Kuwait hosted the much-anticipated IMA Children’s Fest 2024 on Friday, 29th November, at ICSK Junior, Salmiya. The event saw an overwhelming participation from the Indian diaspora residing in Kuwait.

With approximately 650 registrations, the festival became a joyous occasion for children and families alike. The day was filled with a variety of exciting competitions, including Elocution, Nasheed, Azaan, Qiraat, Drawing, Calligraphy, and a Quiz. The young participants displayed their exceptional abilities, leaving everyone in awe of their talent. In addition to the competitions, attendees enjoyed an array of fun-filled carnival games, which added a festive atmosphere to the event.

The participants both boys and girls, between 5-15 years, were categorized into three groups. They participated in different programs and competitions like Elocution, Nasheed, Azaan, Qiraat, Drawing, Calligraphy, and a Quiz accordingly. The program was thoughtfully designed not only to showcase the children's abilities but also to instill them with a sense of community, social values, and ethics grounded in our faith. With every activity, IMA strived to provide an enriching experience for the future of our Ummah. A special moment of joy came when a random quiz for the waiting parents brought laughter and excitement to the crowd, further enhancing the spirit of togetherness.

The event concluded with a heartwarming speech by IMA President, Mr Mohammad Umar Falahi Sb, who expressed his gratitude to Allah (SWT) for the success of the event and emphasized the importance of nurturing the younger generation with Islamic values. He also took the opportunity to recognize and thank the sponsors and dignitaries from the Ministry of Awqaf for their support.

As the festivities came to a close, prizes were distributed to the deserving winners, celebrating their hard work and dedication. The day ended with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Wasif Sahab. IMA extends heartfelt gratitude to Allah (SWT) for the success of this event, and to all the parents, volunteers, sponsors, and participants for making this festival a memorable occasion.

We pray that our children grow in faith, knowledge, and strength, and continue to uphold the values that unite us as an Ummah. May Allah (SWT) bless us all with success and guide us in our efforts to nurture and support the leaders of tomorrow. Ameen.

IMA Kuwait, an Indian socio-religious organization, operates under the patronage of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Kuwait. It focuses on providing a platform for the spiritual and social enhancement of expatriates living in Kuwait through various programs and social gatherings.
