Sat, 23 Nov 2024 was a momentous day for the 31 year old Indian Central School as they hosted a captivating Art and Science Exhibition spanning all Wings, in its vast Premises. The sublime concept of inclusiveness was highlighted throughout the Exhibition. The highly talented Students under the able guidance of their Mentors, showcased stunningly innovative working Models and highly artistic Projects, each one of them being a stupendous display of talent, deep reflection and insightful research.
The resplendent Exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. K.O Mathew, the Chairman of DAS Schools, who, along with members of the Management, visited all the Stalls and Pavilions, deeply appreciating the artistic vision and scientific temper which was a common thread from start to finish of the Exhibition. Thousands of Visitors moved through 80 different Exhibit Rooms of Kindergarten, Primary, Middle, Senior School and NIOS, gazing spell bound at interactive installations using light and sound, Projects and working Models of ISRO Space Station, Chandrayaan and Lunar Module, Sustainable Energy for the Future, Earthquake Detector, Fire Alarm, Automatic Street Lights, Bio Remediation, ABO Blood grouping using agglutination method, Cornea grown in Labs for Corneal Transplant, Microbial Fuel Cell, DNA structures, the sensitive working of a Pacemaker, Gene Therapy, Waste Management, Carbon purification, measuring heights of building and towers, geometric and trigonometric Park, Casino Roulette Wheel based on probability, Radar systems, ID Card detector, Face Scanner, Robotic Models, a smart study App a collaborative Mural Project and direct participation by enthralled Visitors as in an augmented reality display. Visitors explored scientific phenomenon in 3 D and Microscopic Worlds, stepped back in time through Mesolithic, Paleolithic, Stone and Copper Age, ancient Civilisations like the Indus Valley, Mesopotamia and Egyptian and Terrace Farming, marvelled at the Business Model of a Dairy Farm, Fiscal Policy and International Trade, a working ATM Machine, Pay Roll Spreadsheet, a Self care, Meditation corner and Stroupe challenge.
People were ferried through Shakespearean and Modern eras, appreciated a designated corner for Harry Potter, AI enabled Car and Elon Musk. The Exhibition on Kuwait Social Science traced the rich history and culture of Kuwait from the 18th Century to one of the most urbansied countries in the World as an Oasis of peace and safety with infinite possibilities, highlighting traditional art, craft, folk music and cuisine. The Stalls on Islamic Studies and Quran Exhibition demonstrated the perfect compatibility between Islamic teachings and scientific principles serving as a testament of the enduring values as enshrined in the Holy Quran reinforcing the message that faith and science can co-exist in perfect harmony. The greatest contribution of the French Revolution, the Declaration of Human Rights through the slogan, “Liberty, Equality and Fraternity”, as upheld in the Modern World was the theme in the vibrant French Pavillion. The Art and Science Exhibition was a celebration of the lofty standards maintained in all the different Departments of Indian Central School – English, Hindi, French, Humanities, Commerce, Biotechnology, Psychology, Home Science, Fine Arts, Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Informatics Practices, Arabic, Islamic Studies and all Subjects of Science. All this and much more left a lasting impression on thousands of bemused Visitors. The Showstopper Event was a sterling example on embracing the philosophy of Ubuntu in School and igniting the future of inter disciplinary education.
