Joint Efforts for Eco-Sustainability: Mangaf Communicators and ASSP Kuwait Toastmasters Clubs Unite

In an inspiring display of collaboration and commitment to environmental awareness, Mangaf Communicators Toastmasters Club and ASSP Kuwait Toastmasters Club recently held a joint online meeting themed "Eco Sustainability." This remarkable session, hosted on November 9, 2024, brought together members from both clubs to discuss, debate, and develop their communication and leadership skills while championing the cause of sustainability.

The meeting commenced with the Sergeant at Arms, Division F Director, TM Jamaluddin Shaik, setting the tone by reading out the club mission and meeting rules before passing the baton to TM Devendra Rathore (Acting President, ASSP Kuwait TMC) and TM (Dr) Sumant Mishra (Area 31 Director & President, Mangaf Communicators TMC).

Both Presidents welcomed the guests and members, opened the meeting with slight changes to the set agenda based on last-minute emergency apologies from some members who had unforeseen commitments, and then proceeded with the Presidents' address followed by introduction of the Toastmaster of the Day, TM Jamaluddin Shaik, to continue the further proceedings.

TM Jamaluddin Shaik, serving as the Toastmaster of the Day, seamlessly introduced the agenda and role players, guiding attendees through a well-structured program designed to enhance communication, evaluation, and presentation skills.

Members delivered prepared speeches, including notable presentations such as TM Devendra Rathore’s “Speaking My Way” and TM (Dr) Sumant Mishra’s “Whispers of Comfort.”

Each speaker received constructive feedback from experienced evaluators, including DTM Ram Kumar Nachupally and TM Michael Chindowa, who provided insights to help refine their delivery.

A lively Table Topics session, led by TM Devendra Rathore, encouraged spontaneous speaking, fostering confidence and quick-thinking skills among participants, including guests. The session featured intriguing impromptu topics, further energizing the virtual atmosphere.

The Harkmaster session, introduced by TM Wasim Raza and ably supported by the versatile DTM Ram Kumar Nachupally, added an interactive element consisting of short quiz segment, enhancing attentiveness and engagement.

The Grammarian, TM Fakhruddin Malura, described the word of the day, “Feasible,” and encouraged everyone to incorporate it into their speeches during the session. His role added a focus on language usage, inspiring members to expand their vocabulary and make their speeches more impactful.

TM Rehan Ansari, serving as the Ah Counter, played a critical role by monitoring filler words and sounds that could disrupt the flow of communication. His constructive feedback helped speakers become more aware of their speaking habits, promoting clarity and fluency in their delivery.

TM Fouzia Abrahams served as the Timer, diligently tracking the speaking times for each participant to ensure the session stayed on schedule. Her role was essential in maintaining the meeting’s pace, allowing each segment to flow smoothly.

Following this, DTM Ram Kumar Nachupally, serving as the General Evaluator, offered a comprehensive assessment of the meeting's execution. His feedback not only highlighted areas for improvement but also celebrated the strengths that made this gathering memorable.

After the general evaluation, both Presidents invited all the attendees, especially the guests and the new members, TM Rehan Ansari and TM Wasim Raza, to share their feedback on the meeting.
