KMRM Pearl Jubilee - Harvest Festival Concludes with Spectacular Celebrations

The momentous year-long Pearl Jubilee and Harvest Festival of the Kuwait Malankara Rite Movement (KMRM) culminated in a series of vibrant and resplendent ceremonies. The day commenced with KMRM Senior Vice President Joseph Kuriakos raising the KMRM flag, igniting the spirit of celebration for this grand occasion.

The closing festivities unfolded with an awe-inspiring sector- and area-wise harvest rally at the Jaleeb Al Shoukh United International Indian School courtyard, accompanied by resounding chenda drums, traditional musical ensembles, various folk art forms, and symbols of agricultural heritage. His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos, Head and Father of the Malankara Catholic Church, inaugurated the grand general assembly, embodying the unity and reverence of the congregation.

Presiding over the grand finale of the Pearl Jubilee, KMRM President Babuji Bathery led an inspiring session, where KMRM Spiritual Director Rev. Dr. Thomas Kanjiramukalil delivered a stirring introductory address. Cor Episcopo Rev. John Thundiyath, GCC Coordinator of the Malankara Catholic Church, followed with a benedictory address that resonated deeply with attendees. Distinguished speakers, including visiting clergy Rev. Dr. Titus John Cheravallil O.I.C. and Rev. Fr. Sevieros Thomas, Advisory Board Chairman Jojimon Thomas, United Indian International School Director Joel Jacob, Metro Medical Group Chairman & CEO Mustafa Hamza, Joji Varghese Vellapalli, Sharon Tharakan, Jose Varghese, Shinu M. Joseph, Jilto James, Bindu Manoj, and Liju Parakal, further graced the event with eloquent and heartfelt messages.

His Beatitude honored Mr. Thomas Pattiyanical and Mr. Geevarghese Mathew with the distinguished “Saptati Pattam” in recognition of their seventy-year journey, as well as members who have quietly yet unwaveringly served the Church in Kuwait for three decades. The Ahmadi Area, crowned as the champions of the “Projwella” art and cultural competitions, and the victors of the Ivania Season X grand finale quiz competition were celebrated with applause and gratitude. Special mementos were also presented to Mar Grigoris Award recipients Merin Abraham and Nia Ann Sam, for their exceptional achievements in grades 10 and 12.

In a moment of poignant artistry, Mr. A.E. Mathew and Master Dino John Thomas presented His Beatitude Cardinal Baselios Cleemis Catholicos with a meticulously crafted portrait on canvas. Souvenir Committee Convener Shamon Jacob then presented a commemorative compilation of the Pearl Jubilee events to His Beatitude, marking its official release to Souvenir Committee Coordinator Liju Abraham.

KMRM General Secretary Binu K. John extended an enthusiastic and warm welcome to the multitude gathered for this magnificent harvest festival and Pearl Jubilee concluding session. The event concluded with heartfelt gratitude delivered by Treasurer Rana Varghese, leaving a lasting impression of unity, faith, and cultural pride.
