The Keralite Engineers Association (KEA) held a career counseling session for the newly established Children’s Wing of the Kuwait Engineers Forum (KEF). The career counseling session, marking the first major initiative of the Children’s Club since its formation on September 20, 2024, was conducted online on November 2, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
The session featured two renowned speakers, Mr. John Samuel, also known as JS Adoor, an international expert in public policy, social and human rights activist, and Director of Oxfam International; and Ms. Neeraja Chandrasekaran Janaki, a respected career mentor, life coach, and founder of Mentors4U. Both speakers shared their extensive knowledge, offering insights on academic and career planning in a rapidly changing world, tailored for young students and their parents.
Nearly 100 families from various alumni organizations within the KEF community attended, making it a highly interactive and impactful event. The extensive Q&A session provided attendees with an opportunity to clarify numerous questions related to higher education, future career prospects, and skill development, addressing the aspirations and concerns of both children and parents.
The program was meticulously coordinated by representatives of the KEF Children’s Wing. KEA General Secretary, Mr. Renju Abraham, delivered the welcome address, followed by a presidential address from KEA President Mr. Ebey Samuel. The KEF General Convener, Ms. Hannan Shan, offered a felicitation speech, and the President of the KEF Children’s Wing, Ms. Angela, concluded the session with a vote of thanks.
This session has set a promising precedent for future KEF Children’s Club’s initiatives aimed at empowering and educating the younger generation.
