71,106 new cars sold in Kuwait during last 10 month

The automobile sector in Kuwait is witnessing a recovery from last years pandemic crisis as Kuwait recorded a sale of 71,106 new cars in the first ten months of this year, with a growth of 34.5 percent compared to 52,828 vehicles in the same period of 2020.

Most of the car brands available in the local market recorded a growth in their sales this year, Al-Rai reported quoting official statistics. The report attributes decline in travel rates and postponement of loan installments for citizens for a period of 6 months, which led to the availability of cash in hands to the increase in sales of the automobile sector.

Japanese cars dominated the sale this year with about 47.9 percent of sales, followed by American cars with about 16.3 percent, 12 percent for Chinese, 10.8 percent for Korean vehicles, and 10.4 percent For European models, compared to only 2.4 percent for British car brands available in Kuwait.

Asian brands including Japanese, Korean and Chinese cars accounted for about 73.7 percent of the total, with about 50,317 vehicles sold, where as American models sold 11,593 new cars, and European vehicles came third with 7,444 cars.

Between the period January to October this year, 353 luxury cars sold in the local market compared to 321 cars in the same period of 2020.

heehee so all those tears about the income disasters during the pandemic were only crocodile tears, not real. 71,000 new cars in 10 months in a small country like Kuwait...wow...n we are still not out from the pandemic... means the pockets are still deep.... Khalli walli the virus
