The much-anticipated Manjappada NextGen Cup 2024, organized by the Manjappada Kuwait Wing, concluded on Friday, October 25 at PAS Sabahiya, showcasing young football talent, vibrant community spirit, and sportsmanship. Manjappada FC and Lords Academy emerged as champions in the under 18 and under 15 categories respectively. Indian International School Mangaf became runners up in both categories, while Gulf Indian School (U18) and United Indian School (U15) came second runner up in their respective categories.
The tournament kicked off with an inauguration by football enthusiasts Eng. Soud Al-Hajri and Eng. Ali Al-Fayez from KNPC.With exciting matches in each category, spectators enjoyed a thrilling display of skill and teamwork. Medical support was provided throughout the event by dedicated medical partners, ensuring player safety and welfare. An expert refereeing panel from KEFAK, led by Mr. Mansoor, ensured fair play and professionalism.
Gulf Indian School’s Fahad, and Aaron from Lords Academy were adjudged players of the tournament, while Albin from Manjappada FC, and Furqan Khan from Indian Central School topped the scoring. Manjappada FC’s Alan and Lords Academy’s Aston emerged as best goalkeepers.
Manjappada thanked all the event sponsors, who made the NextGen Cup possible, and the committed medical team from Al Nahil International and Shifa Al Jazeera, that safeguarded the health and well-being of all participants.
