AMU Old Boys’ Association Kuwait organized Annual Sports Meet 2024 in SIMS on 12th & 13th September 2024.

“Life is incomplete without sports, it’s the time to refresh our time so play as much as you can.”

With this motivation AMU Old Boys’ Association Kuwait organized sports meet 2024 in SIMS on 12th & 13th September 2024. Sports serve as a reflection of a community’s culture and values.

The sports event showcased not only the astounding skill and talent, but enthusiasm of men, women and children led to the grand success of the various tournaments held on these two days.

Sports play a significant role in promoting solidarity, health, and education, it creates a positive ripple effect that enhances the quality of life in communities.

Engaging youth and children in sports provides them with valuable skills like teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Such events bring people together, encouraging interactions, social cohesion, enhances relationships, reduce tensions, and promote inclusivity. The tournament also emphasized the importance of sports in life.

Many organizations like Al-Bandoukia International Gen. Trad. & Cont. Co., Al Mulla Exchange, KDD and KITCO, they supported AMUOBA to organize the event in a flawless manner. Letter of appreciation was given by the President, Mr. Aslam Parvez as a token of thanks to their representatives Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khan (Managing Director, Al-Bandoukia), Mr. Paresh Patidar (CR Manager, Al Mulla Exchange) & Mr. Abdul Malik (TF analyst, KDD)

There were many alumni of the association who volunteered in all the sports played. AMUOBA is grateful to all of them. The record attendance of participants as well as the viewers marked the day.

For the community to enjoy the event, it was conducted on two days. On 1st day- Race, Football and Table Tennis were played and on 2nd day- Badminton, Carrom and Chess were played.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement as everyone enthusiastically participated in a variety of engaging games, showcasing their talents and competitive spirit. It was open to all from LKG student to the seniors and super senior members of the association.

The day culminated with the presentation of medals to the victorious participants, acknowledging their outstanding achievements. Furthermore, medals of participation were distributed to all participants by the President, Vice President, General Secretary & the Advisory Committee members along with other senior members present there on the same day.

President Mr. Aslam Parvez appreciatively expressed his gratitude towards the alumni and the team members in his short address to the gathering.

The members of the AMUOBA Executive committee team under the leadership of the President Mr. Aslam Parvez worked tirelessly for the success of the event. Refreshments were distributed on the both the days and dinner was also organized on the closing ceremony.

Mr. Adil Sareer coordinated the sports meet, supported by other respective group coordinators from Executive Council- Ms. Shazia Mansoor (GS), Mr. Yousuf Abdullah (OSD), Mr. Shahid Ali, Mr. Tauqir Ahmad, Mr. Shahnawaz Siddiqui, Ms. Talat Fatma (Dy.OSD), Mr. M. Khurshid Anwar (JS), Mr. Masood Alam, Mr. Maqsood Habib Khan & Dr. Ali Adnan. AMUOBA is grateful to the VP- Mr. Tariq Waseem and all the team members for their valuable contribution.

Voluntary support from Advisory Committee members Mr. Nisar Khan, Mr. Ilyas Ahmad Khan & Mr. Mohammad Salman Siddiqui needs special thanks & appreciation as they participated and graced the occasion. AMUOBA express its gratitude to all members of the association for their active participations to make the event grand success.
