The Kuwait Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (KCICAI) recently organised a vibrant and fun-filled Bowling Friendly Tournament at the Kuwait Bowling Sporting Club in Salmiya. This social event, open to men, women, and children aged ten years and above, attracted an enthusiastic crowd of over 250 participants.
The Bowling Friendly Tournament was a wonderful opportunity for KCICAI members and their families to come together for an enjoyable day of sport, camaraderie, and healthy competition. The event was designed to foster a sense of community among the members while encouraging physical activity and family participation in a relaxed and engaging environment.
The day began with a warm welcome from CA Aditya Dhanuka, Chairperson of KCICAI, who expressed his excitement about the large turnout and emphasised the importance of such social events in strengthening the bonds within the KCICAI community. He noted that the event was not just about competition but also about creating lasting memories with family and friends.
Participants were divided into teams, mixing men, women, and children to ensure a balanced and inclusive competition. The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and laughter resonating throughout the bowling alley as participants took turns aiming for strikes and spares. For many children, this was their first experience in a bowling tournament, and their enthusiasm added a lively energy to the event.
Special awards were given out at the end of the tournament, recognising top scorers. These awards highlight the inclusive spirit of the event, where the focus was on participation and enjoyment rather than just winning.
The top three winners in each category were as follows:
