Judgmental is a negative word which is used to describe someone who judge others without a genuine reason. Sometimes these unnecessary judgments can affect our mental health.
Studies have shown that judging unnecessarily increases levels of stress and anxiety, etc. Our society has a typical mindset to judge people like women’s get judged for make-up and dressing a certain way because society labels them not perfect.
People also comment on someone’s intelligence, character or worth. I personally think that some people Judge others because of jealousy. Also, the other reason for judging is the way that they cope with this is by putting you down so that they can feel better about themselves.
Judgmental society is not productive and it kills the creativity in people. Why is that so?
because people are comfortable in following trends at schools, universities, offices, and even when walking in a mall surrounded by strangers, the judgment never stops.
Before people used to judge me too, because I am thin. I was also very sad and tense so I started researching this issue. Later on,I understood that not only me, people have judged others too. Now if someone judges me I just ignore them because I don’t want to waste my precious time on judgments. I want to use that time to achieve my goals.
We cannot stop people to judge, but we have to face them
• Firstly, we have to stop seeking people's approval.
• Be what you are, don’t become what others want you to be.
• Be confident
• Don’t take that negativity to your heart.
