7 Indians among 11 new reported case in Kuwait last 24 hours

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced Monday that 11 people were infected by the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19, in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of Indians confirmed with coronavirus cases reaches 25 in Kuwait.

This brings the country's tally of confirmed virus cases up to 266, the ministry's spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a daily news briefing.

Two related to travel, ie one Kuwaiti connected to UK travel and another resident connected to KSA travel.

One Kuwaiti was in contact with a travelled case. Seven Indians are in contact with other confirmed cases. Another Indian is currently under investigation, officials added.

Earlier in the day, Kuwaiti Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah announced the recovery of five additional people from the novel coronavirus, raising the country's total recoveries to 72.

In addition, 194 virus patients are still receiving necessary treatment, while 13 others are in intensive care units; including three in a critical condition.

The spokesman; once again, urged citizens and residents alike to follow the guidelines and instructions of Kuwaiti health authorities and World Health Organization, primarily maintaining social distancing and home quarantine in order to curb the spread of the virus.

Some people ask , what to do with ,,stay at home if there are many people in a single room or flat ,
so as per my conception if not a single person amongst all those living in the same home is infected then the crowd doesn,t matter.

Dear Concern,
Its my opinion that even all the private companies including Food Industries must be closed for 2 weeks. It will help us to trace if any one is infected then quarantine is possible to control.
What is the use of closing Govt sectors and leaving private.
It is very difficult to control labour force who moves like groups for work in the morning. There is no social distancing at all.

Please look into the matter seriously.

Govt. must seriously take necessary steps to control this spreading of virus as other wise kuwait will be effected badly as this is a small country
I urge government to see all the private company employees also gets their March salaries as it is caring only for government and ministry salaries only
Nobody is taking care of the expats.
God please save all of us

Dear sirs God bless you for big efforts and help to the people. But yes, many people will stay home safe and we follow kuwait government rules and regulations, and they are very good - but what do we do if we are 4 in a room, and 10 or 12 in one flat? Please advise us on what to do??

How will people maintain social distancing and home quarantine when all construction sites are open?????
These bigg words "SOCIAL DISTANCING" and "HOME QUARANTINE" is only for kuwaiti citizens not for expats
Expats are already going for there respective sites between morning to evening, so there is no point to saying this to expats to home quarantine because this is not possible until govt closes construction sites
Allah bless these brave expats wo are still coming out of their house and duing their duty in this crucial situation
