Handwriting is a complex skill that develops over time. Children need to combine fine motor skills, language, memory, and concentration to learn handwriting. They also need to practice and follow instructions.
Handwriting competitions help activate the brain and contribute to reading fluency. It also encourages and recognizes good handwriting skills. It provides students with an opportunity to display their competency in legible writing.
Carmel School, Kuwait, conducted a Handwriting Competition for the 4th Graders as part of their activity for the month of May. It was held on Thursday, 23 May, 2024.
All the students participated and were competitive in doing their best. The best six were selected from each class, and the children were awarded certificates, and all the contestants were appreciated and encouraged to do better everyday and everytime they write.
Big thanks to the management for their reward of merit, which boosted their confidence and strengthened their aim of writing well all the time.
