ICSK Junior Celebrates The Spectrum of Talents

“Ambition is the path to success. Persistence is the vehicle you arrive in.”

An award is a form of honour, a kind of recognition aimed to felicitate one’s excellent contribution in a chosen field. It is not only a great prestige or mark of excellence but is also a tremendous boost for someone to shine and excel higher for even better accomplishments. It is the ultimate token of recognition of purest of talents and highest of achievements.

To recognize and appreciate the success of its students, ICSK Junior had organised the Pearl Fest Valedictory Ceremony in ICSK Senior auditorium on 14th September 2023. In total, 44 onstage as well as offstage events were conducted within a period of one week, from 5th September to 11th September 2023.

This year was no exception for the school in terms of celebrating Pearl Fest with grandeur. For this ceremony, the entire school worked hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder to make it impressive.

An ENT specialist at Al Sabah Hospital and Cultural Secretary-IDF, Dr. Pooja Chodankar, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Hon. Vice Chairman, Mr. Vinu Kumar Nair, Hon. Secretary, Mr. Amer Mohammed, members to the board of trustees, spent their valuable time and brightened the evening.

Amongst the other dignitaries was Dr. Jaganath Chodankar, affiliated with medical facilities such as Armed Forces Hospital, Principals, Vice Principals and Dy. Vice Principal of other branches honoured us by being a part of the celebration.

Distinguished guests, elite parents and students sparkled as gems in the auditorium which was embellished for the occasion. The event flagged off with the recitation of the Quaranic verses followed by the National Anthems of Kuwait and India. The lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and Principal ICSK Junior rejuvenated the enthusiasm in all.

Principal – ICSK Junior, Mrs. C Sheeja welcomed the luminaries with warmth and hospitality. Impressive words, straight from the heart brought accolades for the first lady of ICSK Junior. In her address she mentioned that, observing the kids, acknowledging their efforts, encouraging and appreciating them, boosts the morale of the budding stars. Extending a helping hand to those who struggle for achievement or those who have tasted failure can completely transform their lives. All these lessons learnt in the initial years with their mentors will groom them and make them even more confident.

The evening rolled on with the energetic and electrifying performances by the students leaving the spectators mesmerised. Major highlights of the evening were classical group and individual dance, solo singing, elocution etc. The reverberating music left the audience humming to the tunes joyously.

ICSK Junior, strives for child empowerment, not just by education but also by identifying and enhancing their inborn talents, competency, versatility and skills. With this strong belief, Pearl fest is doorway for our children to seek excellence.

Giving recognition to the hard work of the talented students from LKG to class VI, certificates and trophies were presented. Hearts swelled in pride and thanksgiving both for the students as well as their parents.

The icing on the cake was the Kalatilak and Kalapratibha titles which were awarded to students who secured maximum points in each category.

A doctor in profession and an admirer of talents, chief guest-Dr. Pooja Chodankar congratulated the prize winners as well as the participants. Her admiration towards the teaching profession brought glitters in each mentor’s eyes. She urged the students to compete without being envious of one another, rather support each other and enjoy the competition.

The prize winners just didn’t walk away with their certificates and trophies but also left an indelible and illustrious impact on this year’s Pearl fest.

The function ended with a vote of thanks delivered by the Dy. Vice Principal Mrs.Santhikrishna, who very earnestly thanked each and everyone present for being a part of this grand celebration.

It was a moment of joy to witness the crowd dispersing with a sense of satisfaction and contentment. A moment to reflect and look back because new possibilities are just over the horizon to start the next innings.
