The Indian Arts Federation kuwait (IAF) celebrated Onam in a colorful and festive manner this year. The festivities took place at the Mehbullah Calicut Live Auditorium.
The program commenced with the grand entrance of Maveli Mannan, dressed in full traditional attire. Dr. Amir Ahmad, a prominent social activist in Kuwait, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
President Sherine Mathew presided over the function, while Shemej Kumar, Chairman of Future Eye Theater, delivered the Onam message. General Secretary Leo extended an honor to Dr. Amir.
The celebration featured children's dances, captivating art performances, various entertaining competitions, and a sumptuous Onam Sadya, evoking a sense of nostalgia for the festival.
In her presidential address,Sherine Mathew emphasized that the primary objective of the Indian Arts Federation is to safeguard the vibrant tapestry of language and culture within the Kuwaiti diaspora, and to pass it down to the forthcoming generations.
Patron of the organization, Preman Illath, Loka Kerala Sabha member Unnimaya, Vice President Muzaffar, and Joint Secretary Murali conveyed their warm greetings. Treasurer Lijo expressed his gratitude. Convenors Jijo and GB orchestrated the Onam celebration arrangements.
