Angamaly Pravasi Association Kuwait celebrated Onam in grandeur

Angamaly Pravasi Association Kuwait (APAK) celebrated “Onapullari 2023” in all its festivity at Abbasia Oxford English School on Friday 8th September. President Mr. Jimmy Antony Parokkaran presided over the celebration. In the general meeting, General Secretary Mr. Jinto Varghese welcomed everyone. Mr. Babuji Batheri, an active member of various social and cultural associations gave a magnificent Onam message highlighting the relevance of this traditional festival. Chairman of the Advisory Board, Mr. Dennis Joseph, and former President Mr. Sajiv Paul in their felicitation recalled the long-standing secular traditions and customs giving respect to all irrespective of religious beliefs, rich or poor, color or creed and conveyed Onam blessing to everyone gathered. The children of APAK family who secured top ranks in class 10 and Two were recognized and gave farewell to two APAK family who are leaving for better after many years of service here in Kuwait. APAK Treasurer Mr. Paul Palatty delivered the vote of thanks. Beautiful procession, Thaalappoli, Sinkari melam, Pulikali, and delicious Onasadya were served to all the people gathered. A symbolic Ankamaly Chundan Boat race led by the committee members staged a memorable note with cheers. Thiruvathirakali, which upholds Keralathanima was a gorgeous event. This was followed by Ganamela by famous singers Mr. Libin Skaria and Mr. Ashwin Vijayan was entertaining to all.
