
On the National Sports Day of India, the Physical Education department of Salmiya Indian Model School organised a friendly football match for the students of classes VII to X; the match was played between the enthusiastic teams of Sapphire and Emerald houses, under the guidance of Mr. Ahmed, HOD (Physical Education) and Mr. Maggeswar, the senior Faculty member of PE department.
On the first day of school, after a long summer vacation, it was a great initiative of promoting the idea of staying fit and healthy. On this occasion Director/ Principal Dr Anis Ahmad and Vice Principal Ms Sajitha Menon were present on the football ground to boost the confidence and encourage the inspiring players. The aim of this match was to inculcate the importance of sports and physical fitness among students.
