KCICAI (Kuwait Chapter of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) organized a Badminton Tournament - Singles/Doubles on 25th August 2023, exclusively for its members and their families at I Smash Badminton Academy, Ahmadi, Kuwait. The Tournament received an overwhelming response from over 150 members and their families. It was held in multiple categories (Men’s-Doubles, Women’s-Doubles, Boy’s-8-11 Years Category, Boy’s-Teen Category and Girl’s-Single) with Winners and Runners Up in each category being awarded trophies.
CA Umesh Soni & CA Sourav Pachisia were the winners of Men’s Doubles while CA Rajeesh Chinnan & CA Joseph Thomas were runners up in this category.
CA Ann Vinaya Joseph & Roshni Gonsalves (W/O CA Rabin Gonsalves) were winners of Women’s doubles followed by CA Nisha Jalan & Sumita Agrawal (W/O CA Nishank Agrawal) as runners up.
Krish Neotia (S/O CA Rahul Neotia) was the winner in Boy’s-Teen category with R. Ramanna (S/O CA S. Ramachandran) as runner up. Ryan Thomas Joseph (S/O CA Joseph Thomas) was the winner in Boy’s 8-11 Years category with Aarush Bindal (S/O CA Avinash Bindal) as the runner up.
In Girl’s-Singles, Maryam Chorghay (D/O CA Yusuf Chorghay) emerged as the winner while Mahi Bindal (D/O CA Deepak Bindal) ended up as the runner up.
CA Rabindranath Gonsalves, Chairman of ICAI Kuwait Chapter, congratulated all the winners and participants for their participation and in making the event successful and mentioned that such events will promote the spirit of sportsmanship and bonding among members and their families. It was a fun filled day and the members and their families enjoyed the evening. The presentation ceremony was conducted by CA Aditya Dhanuka, and the trophies were handed over by the Advisory Members (CA Sanjiv Pabrai & CA Kaizar Shakir), Chairperson, Immediate past Chairperson, and the Committee Members.
