Manjappada Kuwait, the supporter’s group of India's leading football club Kerala Blasters FC, organized the football tournament "Super Cup-2023". Six teams from different parts of Kuwait namely, Mangaf Marvels, Mahboula Warriors, Abbasiya Vikings, Salmiya Gunners, Farwaniya Boys, and Jahra Super Giants, participated in the tournament, which was held on Friday, the 25th of August at Fahaheel Souk Sabah Football Ground.

The tournament was inaugurated by Mr. Jerril Kurian, president of the Manjappada Kuwait Wing. Abbasiya Vikings led by Peter Antony defeated Farwaniya Boys by a three goal margin, to lift the trophy. Mangaf Marvels defeated Jahra Super Giants, to come third in the tournament.

Farwaniya Boys captain Zayan Aydeed was adjudged best player of the tournament, while Tijo P Daniel of Abbasiya Vikings was the top scorer with five goals, and Reno Reji of Jahra Super Giants was declared the best goalkeeper. Secretary of Manjappada Kuwait Wing, Shanavas Basheer, Treasurer Shibu Kuriakose, Jamsheed Aydeed, Subin Mathew, Biju NP, Tenson Kurian, Lejoe Koshy and other executive committee members were present and distributed the prizes.

Manjappada Kuwait Wing is organizing various programs to welcome the Indian football team arriving in Kuwait as part of the FIFA Football World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Manjappada Kuwait Wing, is planning to organize a mega football tournament, with the participation of various football academies and associations in Kuwait, officials said to the media.
