Friends of Kannur Kuwait Expats Association (FOKE) celebrated India's 77th Independence Day under the leadership of FOKE Balavedi. FOKE President Xavier Antony presided over the function, which was conducted at Fahaheel Auditorium. FOKE General Secretary Vijayakumar NK, Treasurer Sabu T.V., FOKE Vanithavedi Chairperson Sajija Mahesh, Vice Presidents Balakrishnan EV, Sooraj KV, Sunil Kumar, Program Coordinator Umesh Keezhra, Al Mulla Insurance Brokerage Manager James and spoke with greetings.

Xavier Antony said in his keynote address that children should strive to grow up as good citizens with social responsibility and it is the duty of each one of us as a citizen of India to protect the freedom we have got. Various artistic programs presented by Balavedi children from three zones made the celebration very entertaining. Drawings and other pictures made by children related to Independence Day were displayed in the hall.

Balvedi Coordinator Vinod Kumar and Vanitavedi Treasurer Rema Sudhir managed the entire programme. Balavedi Joint Secretary Devpriya Deepak welcomed the audience and Secretary Savio Santhosh conveyed vote of thanks.
