Take Risks and Live Life to its Fullest

“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying

when there seemed to be no hope at all”. – Dale Carnegie

If a person ever wants to achieve the life, he/she has always dreamed of, they will have to start taking positive risks. Dictionary defines the word risk as “the chance of injury, damage or loss”. I do believe this is true but let me point out the word chance. By taking a risk we are taking a chance, and our dream comes true. It is necessary to take chances to achieve anything great in life.

One should not live their life in fear. Fear comes in many forms, there is fear of shame, failure, and injury. These are the three main fears that keep people from achieving their dreams. If we spend our lives living in fear, we won’t achieve anything.

If we want to do something, we should never let fear come in our way.

When we take risks, we can get rid of that thinking, create new boundaries, improve our attitude on life and our ability to achieve on high levels. More commonly, humans are afraid of what others may think them.

I was afraid at first too, as thousands of questions of doubt and failure revolved inside my brain, “What if people don’t like my article, what if they laughed at me?”. But I decided to put those questions aside and still do it . That is the key, there is no way of knowing until we try. Once a person has overcome the barriers of doubt and fear, no one can stop that person from achieving what he/she wants !

The roots of fear can be deep and wide. There are many reasons why people develop fears. For example, if someone well known to us, got seriously hurt while riding a bike, we could get a fear before we get back on it. Although we might have ridden a bike many times before and nothing has ever happened, but now we are afraid because we know that there is a possibility that something could happen.

Here’s an example about somebody who didn't quit, the greatest example of determination is Abraham Lincoln. Born into poverty, Lincoln faced with defeat throughout his life. Borrowed some money from a friend to begin a business and by the end of the year he was ruined. He spent the next 17 years of his life paying off this debt. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. He could have quit many times - but he didn’t. He became one of the greatest presidents in the history of United States. Abraham Lincoln was a champion, and he never gave up.

THERE ARE A LOT OF BENEFITS OF TAKING RISKS, HERE ARE A FEW:

1.Taking risks opens new challenges. We must push ourselves to learn a new skill, such as public speaking, which comes in handy.

2.It helps us explore new opportunities

•If we keep performing same things every day, it’ll become almost impossible to find the exciting and newer opportunities knocking at our door. We need to constantly try out different things to attain success.

3.It helps us overcome fears

•People commonly hesitate to take an uncommon path because it leaves them disappointed. It may be the fear of failure but taking risks in life helps us learn to overcome the fears. That’s why every successful person says, “Success in life comes from taking risks.”

4.It boosts our confidence

•By taking risks in life, we’ll learn to trust ourselves and believe in our characters and abilities. We’ll learn how to deal with difficult situations and fight hard. All these would ultimately improve our confidence.

5.It helps us grow

•Inaction doesn’t lead anyone anywhere. If a person doesn’t do anything new, nothing will happen. Obviously, it seems to be a comfortable approach, but it’ll limit our growth.

6.Taking risks allows us to establish new limits in our mind.

7.It helps us to become more creative.

8.Taking risks helps us to clearly define what we really want.

9.Once we have become familiar to taking risks, we break free from the average way of living and thinking.

10.Risks build our self-confidence and self-respect, allowing us to feel stronger and more confident.

Always remember that living with fear stops us from taking risks, and if we don’t go out on the branch, none of us are going to get the best fruit !

In a nutshell ,only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far it is possible to go. So, take the risk, which shall be a stepping stone for achieving some of our biggest dreams!!

"Take risks: if you win, you will be happy; if you lose, you will be wise."
