A Critique of Misogyny

It is, to be frank, disgusting how we keep the girl child locked into the chain of forced marriage. We have a backward mindset that women are made only to function in a family unit, and even if they are working for commercial gain, they are still subjected to household duties. It is even often noted in households where both parents work that the wife is often assigned the role of taking care of the household. This often occurs in households that call themselves modern. My major critique is this, if men really are so strong, why is it that in households where both parents work, only the mother contributes to the development of the household?

Going back to the first statement stated in the above paragraph, I must state that the reason for women being allowed to wander beyond the world of only marriage and focus on them getting jobs first is something that is not only morally beneficial but also something we should bring up based on prudence. In actuality, having more workers and educated people is beneficial to all, for more education leads to further progress and development. The main point is that we should focus on women getting educated and getting jobs, for it benefits not only women but the nation as a whole.

For those who think this happens only in rural villages, which are usually cut off from the rest of the world, and should not focus because they believe it is not their problem, they are wrong. Firstly, we believe that just because it is not our problem now, it will not affect us. But hate is like water. It might never touch us, but sometimes it can flow mighty and wreck and drench us. Another thing to think of in that way is being egoistic and selfish. Sadistic, if you will, although that might be pushing this to the extreme. Also, this hatred occurs in more developed areas. The first example is the situation in the first paragraph I gave. The second is that I have seen in some regions that people still believe that a woman's marriage is most important and see her marriage as most important. I have seen in 2021 that people have decided to marry off a woman in the middle of her education.

It is on this basis that I make my statement that the primary goal for a woman should be reverted from marriage to self-sustainability.
