The Tamilnadu Engineers Forum (TEF), Kuwait organized 24th year “Grand Inaugural Celebration - An Evening of Musical Delight" on Friday, 17th March 2023. The event was held at the American International School auditorium in Maidan Hawally, with more than 1250 TEFians & Family members attending the event.
The Event began with a welcome address by Eng. Mohmmed Hanif and the subsequent programs anchored by the Little Angels, Ms. Priyadarshini and Ms. Sasmithaa. The program began with the traditional Tamil song "Thamizh Thai Vazhthu" and Tamil traditional Lamp lighting-up ritual by the dignitaries’ ladies. Eng. Mohmmed Hanif delivered a Thirukkural and the safety moment, followed with the Presidential address by the TEF 2023 President Engr. Rajendrakannan and marking the commencement of TEF activities for the year 2023.

TEF 2023 Team warmly greeted the Star of the event, Mrs. Shweta Mohan, a renowned playback singer who has received numerous awards for her exceptional talent. Alongside her, well-known faces from the Tamil music industry, Mr. Raja Ganapathy and Mr. Bharat K Rajesh, who have gained fame through their appearances on Vijay TV's "Super Singer," and Ms. Varsha, who rose to fame through her participation in Zee Tamil's "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa," were also welcomed by the host.
The Musical Extravaganza Orchestra by the renowned musical team, "Saadhaga Paravaigal," lead by Mr. Shankar Ram and Mr. S. Bharanidharan. The orchestra left the audience captivated and spellbound with their enthralling performances & mesmerizing melodies.
Engr. Lakshmi Narayanan, a senior TEFian, a well-known professional, Mentor, Tireless Supporter for our Community in Kuwait, a Visionary Leader of TEF, served in the many past TEF committees, was honored by TEF 2023 Committee for his valuable contribution and service to the society. TEF 2023 General Secretary Engr. Muthu Chidambaram briefed the audience on services rendered by Engr. Lakshmi Narayanan and was felicitated by TEF Past President Eng A.N. Natarajan. A Memento was presented by Engr. Rajendrakannan, Engr. Raghuraman & Engr. Muthu Chidambaram.
Promoting the TEF objective of “Create a fraternity including member’s families and when possible create avenues for families to exhibit their talents”, This year TEF 2023 committee introduced Local Talent singers in the event. Among Overwhelmed participants, three were selected by the Orchestra team namely Mr. Harshit Sunilkumar, Ms. Lakshita Karthikeyan & Ms. Moukthika Manikandan based on their impressive performance and showed their talent on the live stage. Their extraordinary performance was well appreciated by the audiences.
The special invitees, including Mrs. Shweta Mohan, Mr. Raja Ganapathy, Ms. Varsha, Mr. Bharath, Mr. Shankar Ram, Mr.S.Bharanidharan, and the rest of the troupe members, were honored and presented with mementos by Engr. Rajendrakannan, Engr. Muthu Chidambaram, Engr. Raghuraman, Engr. Logachandran & Engr. Veera Senthilnathan.
The lucky draw was conducted and sponsored by Malabar Gold, prizes were distributed to the winners. Eng. Raghuraman delivered the vote of thanks, and the event ended with a delicious buffet dinner served to the members and families.
TEF successfully brought families together for a day of relaxation, entertainment, and musical delight. The event was a grand success, and the attendees thanked the TEF committee for organizing such an unforgettable experience.
