EID is the festival of Joy

EID is the festival of Joy, Love, happiness, peaceful and sharing. It is celebrated all over the world especially Muslims. Ramdan falls in the 9th month of Islamic calendar.

During EID days Muslims fast for 30 days. They fast from Dawn to Sunset. During Ramdan over the age of 12 with some exceptions are expected to fast from Dawn to Sunset. Dates of Ramdan changes every year because of the change in the moon cycle.

I have plenty of experience of their love and sharing, as my neighbors were Muslim family and I have too many Muslim friends also. Every day of IFTAR, variety of snacks, juices and fruits are severed in the Restaurants and Hotels. Qahwa and Thamer (Dates) are commonly used Traditional dish during IFTAR. Super markets and shopping malls provide special offers during the season.

The End of Ramdan is celebrated with a big celebration called EID- UL-FITAR. All the family members come together with their relatives and friends’ houses. During Ramdan season Muslims share food and clothes as offering for the needy ones in the streets.

During Ramdan days Muslims commemorates the Hajj, which is the pilgrimage made by many Muslims to Makkah Madeena. EID-UL-FITAR, makes the celebration of Muslims which is the end of Ramdan the Holy Month of fasting.
