November 14 is celebrated as Children’s Day every year in India in remembrance of India’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, who was fondly called Chacha Nehru or simply Chachaji.

The occasion is celebrated every year with grand splendour and fiesta at ICSK Senior. The teachers showered the children with flowers and blessings at the entrance of the school and welcomed them to the campus.

The Children’s Day celebration began with a special assembly, dedicated to the students by their teachers. The proceedings started with Islamic Prayer by Mr. Muneer, faculty of Arabic and its translation by Ms. Sajeena Yusuf, faculty of Commerce. This was followed by the school prayer sung in unison by the team of teachers. Mrs. Shahnas Dalvi, faculty of Mathematics, hoisted the National Flag of Kuwait and Mr. Ali Ahmed, faculty of Arabic administered the salutation, followed by the team of teachers singing the Kuwait national anthem.

It was amazing to see the staff and children dance together.
