Bhavans Smart Indian School inaugurated Cambridge Wing

Bhavans Smart Indian School, Kuwait conducted the inaugural ceremony of the Cambridge Wing at the SIS auditorium on 26th September 2022.

The function was presided over by the honourable Sponsor Ali Judiyan Al Rashidi, Chairman Mr.N.K Ramachandran Menon, Principal, Smart Indian School Mr. Mahesh Iyer, Principal, Indian Education School Mr. Premkumar, Vice Principal-SIS Mrs. Albin Daisy, KG Supervisor-SIS Mrs. Rajni Menon, Mrs. Bhavitha Bright the IG Coordinator and Administrative Manager Mrs. Amira. Mrs. Suchitra Sen, Head of Business Development, British Council, Kuwait was the Chief Guest and Mrs.Tina Mathew School Relationship Manager, British Council, Kuwait was the special guest of the day.

The ceremony started with the Kuwait national anthem by SIS school choir, followed by the Quran recitation. The lighting of the ceremonial lamp was done by the invited Guests and the school dignitaries. The team of teachers performed the invocation dance. The welcome speech was delivered by Mr. Ebuka Taiwo Amagoh, teacher of Cambridge wing. The gathering observed a moment of silence in honour of the late Queen, Elizabeth II. The British National Anthem was rendered as a mark of respect for the new King, Charles III. The March Past was led by Mr. Vimal the PE teacher and was conducted by displaying the flags of Kuwait, India, Britain, SIS and Cambridge. Subsequently an audio-visual presentation of the Smart Indian School, Cambridge wing was done. Mrs. Suchitra Sen did the inaugural address.

The memento was presented to the Guests by the Sponsor, Chairman and IES Principal Mr.Premkumar. The teachers performed a Rajasthan folk dance called Kalbeliya in regard to the cultural integration. Mrs. Karthika Vijayan, a teacher of the English Department, Cambridge wing gave the vote of thanks and the ceremony ended with the students proceeding to their Cambridge classes. The masters of the ceremony were Kazi and Simran, students from the Cambridge wing.
