ICSK Amman Holds Award Ceremony of Arts Fest- Aura 2022

The Indian Community School Kuwait- Amman proudly celebrated the Award Ceremony of Arts Fest- Aura 2022 on 24th September 2022 with great pomp and splendour. Aura 2022 commenced in the month of June and various events like fancy dress, origami, solo and group singing and dance, painting, elocution, essay writing, memory contest and quiz were conducted in which the students from KG to class 10 participated with great enthusiasm. It was a grand gala graced by eminent dignitaries, parents, members of the staff and students.

The programme began with the recitations from the Holy Quran followed by the National Anthems of Kuwait and India. The students from KG to Class 10 dazzled the event with melodious and soulful songs and foot tapping and breathtaking dances which totally mesmerized and enthralled everyone present.

The Chief Guest was Dr. Ahmad Al-Mulla, Acting Executive Director, Energy and Building Research Center, Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research. The other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahman (Hon. Chairman of the Board of Trustees), Mr. Amer Mohammed (Hon. Secretary), Mr. Vinukumar Nair (Hon. Vice Chairman), and Dr. Jafarali Parol (Research Scientist, Kuwait Institute for Scientific research).

Mr. Gangadhar Shirsath (Principal, ICSK Khaitan), Mrs. Sheeja Ravi (Principal, ICSK Junior), Mrs. Susan Rajesh (Vice Principal, ICSK Senior), Mrs. Bismitha Shamsuddin (Vice Principal, Indian School of Excellence Kuwait) and Mrs. Maiza (HR Department, ICSK) attended the wonderful occasion.

Principal (ICSK, Amman) Mr. Rajesh Nair extended a cordial welcome to every one present. He praised the children for their outstanding achievements and the staff for their sincere and dedicated work.

In his address to the students, the Chief guest Dr. Ahmad Al-Mulla congratulated the students for their achievements, stressed on the importance of success in all aspects of life and elaborated on the values of being charitable and humane.

Prizes were presented to the winners of all the events. It was an awesome and fulfilling sight to witness the children receiving the trophies and certificates very happily. The highest awards, Kalathilak and Kalaprathibha for being all-round winners were presented to the students in each category.

Hon. Chairman, Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahman presented the awards to the best readers Reeya Jaffer and Loraine Baiju Parackal who won the Library Challenge which was held during the vacation in order to encourage the reading habits in children. Another initiative taken by ICSK, proposed by Hon. Secretary, Mr. Amer Mohamed was making our earth greener and healthier by planting 25,000 saplings during the summer holidays. The Climate Changer title was awarded to Siddhit Sumit of LKG B and the award for the class that planted the maximum saplings was bagged by LKG C. Winners and Achievers House were declared the joint winners for amassing the maximum points.

Vice- Principal Dr. Mary Isaac delivered the vote of thanks. After conveying her gratitude to the dignitaries, she extended her thanks to all the children who enthusiastically participated and parents for their encouragement. She also praised the Co-ordinators of Aura Mrs. Liji George, Mrs. Dhanusha Ahujani and Mrs. Anuja Thulaseedharan Pillai for their whole hearted effort.

The event was coherently compered by Mrs. Sara Sony Idiculla along with Alaina Jinu Thomas and Thomas John of class 10 with great ease and panache.

The event concluded with a grand finale by the senate members which was a great feast to the eyes and a perfect ending to the awesome ceremony.
