“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

It’s summer time and the school holidays are upon us with children gearing up for a long, hot summer. In order to enjoy this hot summer, the Kindergarten wing of Bhavans Smart Indian School and Jack and Jill Pre-School celebrated the perfect scenario of ‘Fun in the Sun’ day on the 9th of June 2022. The kindergartners dressed in colorful summer clothes, sunglasses, and caps entered the school premises with a great smile. The tiny tots brought lemon, sugar, spoons, and cups to prepare and quench their thirst with refreshing lemonade at the end of the day. The kids were escorted by their class teachers to the outdoor school playground where they played under the sun and enjoyed themselves a lot.

Later they were taken back to their classes where they did the lemonade activity. As the saying goes by “Nothing tastes more like summer than a refreshing glass of lemonade.” The children under the guidance of their teachers prepared fresh lemon juice by squeezing the lemon juice from the lemon to make lemonade. The activity was organized with the motive of training them in the life skill of self-care and by sharing the knowledge with the students about the benefits of using lemon during summers and inculcating healthy eating habits from this tender age. To capture the moment and to create memories a lovely photo booth was also arranged and photographs were also clicked to make this event memorable. It was indeed a fun-filled day for the children where they made memories to cherish forever.
