New Indian school, Mangaf, celebrated "Siblings Day"

On 21st April, an assembly on the topic ‘Siblings Day’ was conducted. This day is celebrated to raise the awareness about the importance of siblings in a person’s life.This day aims to make people realize the value of brothers and sisters in their lives and to show gratitude towards their siblings.

The students from New Indian School of grade VII conducted the Assembly, which gave awareness on the importance of siblings to all the attendees.

The assembly started off with a welcome speech by Amnah Radhi. Following was the Quran recitation by Mohammed Ahmed. Then was a school prayer by Arya Nayak. The “thought for the day” was presented by Hamza Louai and its explanation by Fathima Rishfa. Mukhil Kumaran gave a short speech on the theme “Siblings Day”. The news for the day was given by Rithika S. Nair covering the Local, International and Sports news. There was a short skit on the topic Siblings performed by Aseel Ahamed, Mohammad Faraz and Fathima Rishfa. A group song named ‘Family’ sung by Rithika S. Nair, Mohammed Faraz, Emmanuel K. Bob, Prosper Chijinwa, Faisal Ghazi and Eman Shinoor.

The school principal Anita Sadanand addressed the students on the significance of having good relationship with the siblings. She asked her students to close their eyes for a while and to think of their respective siblings for a serious introspection regarding the ways and means of improving the relationship not only with the siblings but also with the fellow mates in the school or the community members. Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers and all students were present on this special occasion. This assembly made us realize the importance of siblings in our life.
