IES Observes World Science Day for Peace and Development -2021

Bhavans Indian Education School Kuwait celebrated the 20th edition of World Science Day on November 10, 2021 under the aegis of the Department of Science to create awareness among the students on the theme of the year ‘Building Climate - Ready Communities’. The Science periods of the day focused on the discussions on constant developments of science and the role that scientists play in broadening man’s understanding of the fragile planet and making societies more sustainable.

Climate change is becoming a serious threat to the lives of billions of people on the planet, and it is necessary to focus on some key scientific aspects and possible solutions provided by science, technology, and innovation. Keeping this in mind, the students of IES presented their theories and solutions in the form of a video and aired it in all the classes from grades 5 to 11. Fida Ancy of grade 9 highlighted the significance and purpose of celebrating World Science Day for Peace and Development. Manha Anees of grade 8 propagated the need for mankind to accept the global change in climate and the strategies that should be employed to make India- a climate-ready community. Esha Sachin Kangralkar of grade 8 enlisted the harsh consequences that humans faced due to the ecological imbalance caused by them. Athul Sanil Kumar of grade 8 advised the students to change their habits to change the future. Roy Mathew of grade 9 spoke about the cause and effect of climate change.

The celebration ended, providing a treasure trove of information about the scientific world and demanding that the younger generation should spring up from the repose and work for a better world of science with peace since life with science is much better.
