Bhavans IES Observes Rastriya Ekta Diwas 2021

Bhavans Indian Education School, Kuwait, observed Rastriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on October 31, 2021, under the auspices of the Department of Social Science, in order to heighten a strong sense of unity among the students and to make them understand the exceptionally valuable contributions of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the iron man of India, to the Indian society. The main aim behind celebrating the day every year is to make the Indian citizens realize how national integrity helps in vanquishing the potential threats to unity, security, and integrity of the nation.

The school organised an array of educational activities that could develop creativity and foster cultural and social values among the students. In the morning assembly, a brief speech on the importance of celebrating Rastriya Ekta Diwas was delivered by Neha Hareesh of 9C. During the Social Science periods, the students of grades 5 and 6 were given the theme “Unity in Diversity’’ for writing poetry and making posters. The students of grades 7, 8 and 9 wrote the biographical sketches of Sardar Vallabhai Patel and made digital collages and posters, and wrote poetry on the theme “Unity in Diversity”. The creators of the best works earned tumultuous applause from their classmates.

The celebration made the young citizens of IES understand the paramount importance of zealously preserving the unity of their nation, India. It not only ignited the spirit of patriotism and the sense of collective belonging among the students but also opened up a favourable opportunity for them to exhibit their creativity and talents.
