Back to School Vibes

I was excited until I reached there. After 1 and half years of online studies, I was finally going to attend my classes in school. Of course, I knew that there would be safety precautions, but facing that in the school for the first time was not easy.

One bench per person, no sharing of food, no more crowded corridors and many more restrictions. The atmosphere was totally different.

We all didn’t talk much on the first day. Everyone was just settling in. Even though everyone had their masks on, they all looked different. And many new students joined my class. I was happy to see my friends but at the same time was upset as many of them were in batch two. Teachers tried to interact with us and were also happy to see many new faces as most of us rarely on our cameras during virtual classes.

Whatever it may be, getting back to school was something I longed for a long time. If school hadn’t reopened, then my last year would have gone in online itself. It’ll take time to adjust to the new precautionary methods and system but then ultimately all of us will get used to it. And it’s not like Covid-19 will always stay with us. There will be a time when we will be able to share our tiffin and walk around freely without wearing a mask.

Wishing all young readers a great time in school.

Stay safe, have fun.
