Football (Not Just A Game)

I know, I know you might be a big fan of Messi’s magical dribbling, Ronaldo’s legendary goals or Neymar’s breathtaking skills. I’m just another ordinary die hard fan. But I always didn’t love football. There was a time when I truly hated it.

Don’t get me wrong…

When I was studying in 3rd grade, I got selected to the school team. VOILA!! I couldn’t believe it. I shined in front of my classmates ,my teacher, yes my teacher and at last to all the students who teased me Cause at that time I was so thin that they believed that I couldn’t even run. But my hard work paid of until the PTM MEETING OCCURRED. I got good marks, passed successfully and was totally happy. That’s when I told my father to ask the sports sir about my match. Was shocked when I heard that the tournament was OVER. Don’t get me wrong I played very well and my sports sir was also happy about it, but couldn’t believe what just happened. I was in tears not from the outside but from inside. I was broken into pieces and my mom understood it.

The second reason is me being teased. When I went to play football under my building, they made me a referee!!! I had no voice for they were stronger than me. I stood there shouting out some rules. They were all teasing me cause I didn’t even know the rules properly. Just knew yellow and red card, and some simple rules. They started getting angry at me irrespective of my age, my knowledge and my size! That’s when my Dad came. He understood what had happened and told me a solution, even though I did not take it seriously. After nearly 1 and a half year of hating football, I understood that there’s no use of hating football anymore and I went with my Dad’s Idea. I think his idea pretty much worked. I joined a football academy and to be honest I couldn’t believe how much my football skills changed.

So these are the reasons for which I hated football. Messi,Cr7,Neymar and My Football Academy brought me back. I never meant to write a sad article but I felt that my story should be shared to all the kids around who love football just like me. So the meaning of this article is to face all the obstacles just like I did .

Never Give Up Folks cause “All the roads that lead to success have to pass through hard work boulevard at some point”
