Indian Muslim Association Kuwait (IMA) - Ladies Wing in coordination with Indian Doctor’s Forum (“IDF”) organized an online public Webinar with an aim to edify women on health issues.

The session, conducted on August 13, 2021, provided an opportunity to local and regional women to interact with experts in the field and enlightened them on matters related to woman health.

Dr. Aparna Mahesh Kadam, Gynecologist (MBBS, MD OBST) Ministry of Health’s (MoH), the key speaker delivered speech on “women common health issues”. She shed light on current health topics like

Cardiovascular, Hypertension, Breast and cervical cancer, Diabetes, Thyroid disorders, Osteoporosis, nutrition, sexual and reproductive health.

The speech was followed by a question-and-answer session. The participants were given a chance to consult the speaker about their personal health related matters. The symposium received a good response and was attended and appreciated by more than 250 participants.

IMA Kuwait is a socio religious organization in Kuwait which carries out its various activities under the patronage of “Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affair”. It also supports the fellow nationals by sponsoring educational scholarship to poor children and jobs to the needy.’

The symposium was inaugurated with the Quranic verses from chapter 16 (An-Nahl) of the holy Quran. It was followed by an address from IMA women wing education department in charge Dr. Farhat, who delivered a speech on healthy food habits in the shade of Quran & Sunnah.
