Mr. T. Premkumar, Principal, IES, while addressing the virtual spectators, said that he had always been keen on organising a meet for the alumni of the school, but it had not happened due to various reasons like visa procedure, time constraints, mismatch of vacation etc. However, the present period of pandemic enabled them to overcome all those obstacles and organise a virtual meet. He hopefully stated that one day the alumni of IES would give an opportunity for their teachers to proudly talk about their students who would achieve phenomenal success in their professional and personal lives. He persuaded the alumni to chase success in their personal and professional realms and asked them to keep the flag of IES fly higher and higher.

The fun-filled evening with many a virtual game and entertaining program helped the alumni reconnect and relive their wistful past in IES. The French song ‘Les Champs Elysees’ sung by Ms. Seema Menon, Coordinator, French, Middle and Senior Wings, resonated in the hearts of alumni and brought back the memories of their educational trips to Paris. Ms. Jezy Joseph, Ms. Athira Pratap and Mr. Liju Joseph, the teachers of the Department of English, entertained the audience with their lovely songs. The ex-students enthusiastically partook in various online games and quizzes, organised by Dr. Murugaiyan Subbarayalu K. Samy, Head of the Department, Physical Education, and Mr. E.P. Prasad, Head of the Department, English, Middle and Senior Wings, and won plaudits from the online viewers comprising their teachers and friends. A few members of the alumni shared their experiences and memories associated with the school with the virtual gathering that left many an eye moistened.
