A Leader Translates Vision Into Reality

Carmel School Kuwait showcased its second Virtual Investiture Ceremony on 12th June 2021. The programme commenced with the ceremonial Kuwait and Indian National Anthems, followed by prayer invoking God’s blessings.

This momentous day of joy and pride was graced by the distinguished Chief guests, Dr. Mohammed Zahir and Dr. Zareena Mohammed the proud parents of the Head Boy, Mohammed Arsh and Mr. Asok Kumar and Mrs. Jasmine Asok the esteemed parents of the Head Girl Susan Sabitha Asok Kumar. The Principal of Carmel School, Sr. Christy Maria and the Vice Principal Sr. Saritha, along with the Sisters, parents and teachers were present for the occasion.

The euphonious choir of Carmel delighted those present with a graceful song which was followed by a lively dance performance, to commemorate the World Environment Day.

The outgoing Head boy Acel Joe and Head Girl Jenisha Jaivin, reminisced the year 2020 as an amazing learning experience and expressed their gratitude to all.

Forth came the rite of passage that cycles every year, the Exchange of Responsibilities. The cabinet ministers of 2020-2021 graciously passed on their responsibilities to the upcoming cabinet who accepted their portfolios with utmost passion and dedication, swearing to uphold the values of a Carmelite.

The new cabinet, assumed their responsibilities and pledged their allegiance to the school with an oath administered by the Principal, led by The Head Boy and Head Girl and recited in unison by the cabinet ministers with pride and honour. The Principal Sr. Christy Maria addressed the newly sworn in cabinet, sharing a trinket of her wisdom that instilled encouragement and confidence in the minds of the young leaders which was followed by the symphonic singers of Carmel inducing a sense of inspiration into the new cabinet with a felicitous song.

The programme was graced by a compendious speech by the distinguished chief guests Dr Mohammed Zahir and Mrs. Jasmine Asok both of whom through their words expressed their appreciation towards the school, blessed and motivated the newly elected leaders. The newly elected Head Boy and Head Girl gave their articulate and emphatic speeches on how their beloved school had molded them into creative and diligent students which aided them on their way to becoming the leaders the school.

This was succeeded by an astonishingly creative and thoughtful felicitation video by the outgoing cabinet of Class XII that deeply touched the hearts of the incoming ministers.

The students of class XI extended their sincere gratitude to the management and administration for their support and to the outgoing cabinet for their tremendous work during the pandemic time through a Vote of thanks.

As the curtains drew on this righteous occasion, we once again rose in unity as Carmelites for the School Anthem.

Filled with determination and fortitude, The Investiture Ceremony marked the first step of The Cabinet of 2021-2022 into a year of responsibilities and duties. Inspired by their predecessors, they are now ready to tackle the toughest challenges all with the core values of a Carmelite at heart.
