Online Learning & IT in School

Online learning is education that takes place through the Internet. It is also called "e-learning". However, online learning is simply one kind of non-contact learning, the common term for any learning that takes place without the teacher and students present in a traditional classroom.

Online learning is on the rise with the COVID-19 pandemic in full swing. The main advantages of online learning are as follows:

1.Comfort-

Students can learn things taught at school from the comfort of their home. All the learning materials are provided through online platforms by the institution.

2.2) Tracking Of Learning Pattern-

Online learning can help provide institutions with detailed reports about the progress of their students and can, therefore, understand their progress in various subjects.

However, Online learning has some disadvantages:

1.The strain on Eyes-

Online learning requires students to look at electronic devices which can cause damage to their eyes if used continuously.

2.Writing Skill-

Online learning requires continuous typing which may lead to poor handwriting. Since there are many internet resources it could lead to less creativity and maybe cheating during tests. It could also act as a distraction for students because they could be surfing the web while the class is in session.

Online IT Sessions are amazing. The subject on its own is very interesting, but the online learning facilities such as 'share screen' are very useful as they allow students to share their assignments and classwork with others. Online learning has boosted the IT Subject as students have to type out their assignments and classwork which leads to daily practice which was before not easy to do due to the strain exerted by other subjects.

Overall 'Online Learning' is a good experience. It should therefore be the responsibility of all schools and institutions to switch to online learning and further explore the variety of options online learning has to offer.
