Mace Springs Toastmasters Club – 188th Themed Speakathon Meeting Highlights & Call For Registration For Speechcraft Programme

One of the most happening toastmasters club in Kuwait, MACE SPRINGS TOASTMASTERS CLUB , club number 2162143 under Area 19, Division E and District 20, conducted its 188th meeting via Zoom on 14 May 2021. It was a meeting filled with memories about a mother's love which we all cherish, an Ode to all the Mothers out there for their love and sacrifice.

The meeting began on time at 03:00 PM, with club’s Sergeant At Arms, laying down the general rules during the online meeting. The President of the club, the ever smiling TM Hazel, in her eloquent style welcomed the gathering, recognized the presence of Area and District officials and also the guests to the meeting. She welcomed the Toastmaster of the Day, TM Sheeba Premugh. Our Toastmaster of the day who coined the theme 'I Love you Mom', gave a glimpse of what a mother means to her and also what mothers love truly is. She also gathered individual experiences of their love towards their mothers. The key take away from TM Sheeba's message was - mother is the most important person of anyones life, do not limit showing love towards her only on the mothers day, it should be throughout our lives.

After the introduction, we had four amazing speakers TM Murugaiyan S, TM Hazel D'Souza, TM Rahul Dinodia and TM Madhusudan Reddy who came up with brilliant speech deliveries. The general evaluation session, the heart of any TM club, was conducted by TM Saravanan Ramadass from South Kuwait toastmasters club, who gave some crucial and valuable feedback both for the speakers and the club to improve on overall meeting experience. Speeches were evaluated by DTM Premugh Bose, TM Surya Prakash, TM Aditi Namboothiri, TM AbdulAziz Kolayath. Good insights and positive points of improvement were given by the speech evlauators. TM Anilson John, who was the grammarian and Ah counter gave his report with instances where usage of english was excellent and improvements needed. Timing was wonderfully managed by TM Fabian Fernandes ensuring we finish the meeting on time.

Toastmasters is a wonderful platform to excel at public speaking along with time management and leadership skills. In order to know what one gains by joining Toastmasters, a one of a kind workshop called SpeechCraft will be conducted in the coming week to ensure one can get trained on various aspects of public speaking. In this workshop, various sessions showcasing different facets of public speaking are planned and delivered by seasoned Toastmasters. These sessions help the attendee to learn about effective usage of language and will also initiate the attendee to imbibe confidence to be able to speak comfortably in presence of group of people.

This event is beginning on 23rd May 2021 ( 0630 PM to 0800 PM) and the icing on the cake is that it is a completely free 8 day event conducted to benefit the people who are looking to improve themselves. All you need is to register and go through the event session online with us. For registrations please contact Abdul Aziz on 67736599 or Madhusudan Reddy on 97263643. Looking forward to a wonderful workshop.
