What are we speaking about? What is the reason behind all this amiss?
The sole answer for these queries is pollution. Pollution… Will it become a little abate? Water… What if there is an abrupt shortage of it? Air… What if we do not get fresh air to breathe? Land… What if it stinks because of the plastic dumped into it? Can the next generation live on this Earth?
Can you think of the acrid life in future because of our pleasant present? In some years, the gentle zephyrs that blow now will turn into dark smoky winds. Pollution- if we don’t kill it, it will kill us. It is time to take an action to prevent a killer like pollution. If we don’t, Mother Earth will die and will haunt us leading to our death.
We know how our capital city “Delhi” is suffering from air pollution in festival seasons. For the few years the percentage was increasing.
When the clock rang 12 midnight on the 1st of January, I could hear cracking and bursting of cracker all around my residence. Just think about beginning a New Year by polluting our Mother Nature.
As an effect of pollution, the quality of the environment is degrading, the rate of global warming is increasing, the ozone layer is depleting, there is infertility in land etc.
The question that arose was how to prevent it. Follow the 3Rs, reuse reduce and recycle. Use your things carefully to the maximum, reduce unnecessary usage of fuel and think creative to something fresh by recycling.
The program of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan implemented by our PM Narendra Modi is a very innovative mission looking forward for a clean and healthy nation. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) or Clean India Mission was a nation-wide campaign in India for the period 2014 to 2019 that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India's cities, towns, urban and rural areas. The objectives of Swachh Bharat include eliminating open defecation through the construction of household-owned and community-owned toilets.
Plant more trees as trees play an integral role in maintaining the balance in nature.
I, myself, committed all these mistakes repeatedly until I realized that a festival can be celebrated without crackers, jute bags are one step ahead than plastic, planting a plant is marvelous and riding a bicycle is a shot of two birds (exercise and environment friendly). I placed an arm over all of these and took my big step, a stone’s throw to a massive difference.
