“The Newly Approved National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 Will Transform India Into A Knowledge Superpower And A Global Leader In Learning As It Links The Past With The Future”, Said Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank” The Union Minister Of Education On Friday, January 22, 2021. He Was Speaking To The Indian Diaspora In Kuwait In A Virtual Programme Organized By Bharatiya Pravasi Parishad (BPP), After Receiving The BPP’s First “Pravasi Sammaan 2020”, For His Remarkable In The Introduction Of The National Educational Policy.

‘’NEP2020 Will Enable Indian Students To Grow And Excel In All Spheres Of Life. Our Country Will Emerge As A Provider Of Employment And No Longer Remain A Job Seeker”, He Added. He Also Emphasized On Linking India's Talent With Patents As It Would Play A Significant Role In The Economic Development Of The Country. The National Research Fund And The National Technological Forum Will Also Boost The Research And Development Environment And Make It More Inclusive.

Shri Pokhriyal Also Said That Government Campaigns Like Make In India, Digital India, And Startup India Seek To Provide Support To The Young And Talented To Build A Self-Reliant And Empowered India To Achieve The 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' Mission. The Elements Of 5 ‘I’ (Indian, International, Interactive, Innovative And Impactful) Mentioned In This Policy Make It Suitable For Knowledge-Based Economy.

The Minister Also Complimented BPP For The Outstanding Works Carried Out For The Wellness Of The Indian Community In Kuwait.

The Atmanirbhar Bharat Is Not Only For The Local Indians, But Also For Building Partnership Between India And Kuwait”, He Added.

He Also Applauded The Efforts Of BPP Kuwait For Organizing The Webinar Which Is A “Very Much Need For The Indian Diaspora.” He Also Expressed Hope That NEP 2020 Will Herald A New Dawn In Indian Education And Will Make India An Education And A Knowledge Hub.
