“Gulf Babai 20-20 Cricket Tournament” wins Hearts. Visual Spectacle witnessed on the Finale

It was a proud moment for the cricket team “AP XI” when their captain SHAFI along with his team took the winners trofie of “Gulf Babai Cricket Tournament” bettering out team BLK by chasing down a competitive score of 156/8 with 5.1 overs in hand. It was a wonderful day of cricket with the much-awaited finale of “Gulf Babai 20:20 Cricket Tournament” being a grand success.

It started with the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait His Excellency Sri Sibi George gracing the event as chief guest along with other prominent Embassy officials. Chef Sunil’s all fruit buckeye along with a special memento of the Ambassador’s image carved on a watermelon was one of the many highlights of the event. Tri colour helium balloons set loose by the chief guest was a great visual which officially started the match.

Live telecast of the match on “Gulf Babai” YouTube channel was highly appreciated for its professional telecast quality, commentary and infographics. Special thanks to Binnayadeep Singh and Md Sharif from Singh Media Channel, Kuwait for their contribution in that.

Prize distribution ceremony resembled a celebration with Embassy Officials, Sponsors and well-wishers like Abu Bakar Kindary handing over the trophies and mementos to all the Players, Sponsors and volunteers.

“Gulf Babai Cricket Tournament” was jointly organized in Kuwait by “Rubix Media Factory”, an upcoming Digital Marketing company in Kuwait and “Rayalaseema Gulf Association” a registered non-profit Social Welfare, Cultural and Sports organization in Kuwait (Registered with the Embassy: INDEMB/KWT/ASSN/317).

As a refresher and ice breaker to the hard times expats had to go through during the pandemic times, the organizers have taken the initiative, worked for a couple of months and started this grand Cricket Tournament on 11th December 2020 with 16 professional Teams, all players Indians.

“Rubix Media Factory” and “Rayalaseema Gulf Association” thanked all the Players, Sponsors, Volunteers and Well-Wishers for their contribution towards making this Cricket Tournament a huge Success. A very special thanks for the Embassy of India for their support to the tournament which will be an inspiration for many such sporting events to be organized in Kuwait.
