Virtual Yearend Celebration

All of us were excited on 23rd December 2020, the day of the virtual year end celebration. The Christmas holidays were to begin on 24th and we had a small celebration together with my batch mates.

Now if we were in school all of us would eagerly wait for December to come. Decorating classrooms with Christmas trees, stars, programs in the auditorium, class party, food, dance, music, Secret Santa etc. it is a life time experience.

Well this time we had it virtually. During the online program, I actually missed the Christmas parties we used to have in school. Nevertheless this year’s event was a new experience.

The occasion started with a prayer and then a thought. We had a choir followed by a speech. We also had students reciting their poems and after that presentations were played. Last but not the least, our class teacher addressed us. Everything went great. We also wished each other saying that we would wish each other the next year in person.

I want the school to reopen and this pandemic to get eliminated. Not only me but the entire world is waiting for the day when they can get out of their homes freely not being anxious of getting any disease. I hope the year 2021 will bring a start to it.

Wishing all the readers a happy new year!!
