Days of December

As December kicks in, every member in the Christian household gets ready for a new season. The excited nerves of the people shouts, 'Hey, it is December and Christmas is coming ! Why are you sitting idle?'

As the realisation hits when the dates are forgotten, the houses are cleaned before erecting the Christmas tree. As the feets run in a much faster pace, they grab different types of decorations they can get. Starting from balls to stars and small boards of 'Merry Christmas', the hand decors are an addition to the beauty. Even though many are hung, the red and golden ball stays prominent among everything. As the bells are hung, different echoes can be heard. Adding the star to the Christmas tree, the only thing left is the wait for the arrival of the starry night.

Crossing out dates in our minds, we just count the number of days left. Letting the Christmas tree and star shine throughout the eve of Christmas, the eyes are closed with the excitement for the next day.

As the clock finally strikes 12 am, It is 25th of December! It is the night where baby Jesus was born and kept in a manger. A date when the angels conveyed the message to the shepheards and the latter went to see the baby Jesus.

What is Christmas? It is the tenderness of the past, courage for the present and hope for the future. - Anonymous

As years have passed, Christmas is considered as the birth of the baby who is one of the biggest reasons to live. Starting the day with a church service, everyone is wished a 'Merry Christmas'. Filling the air with the scent of freshly baked plum cakes, the atmosphere can't be anymore heavenly! Distributing food and cakes, the joy is never reduced even if the years pass.

The excitement and happiness is just endless as different parts of the day passes. If we aren't happy for the birth of the saviour, then will we be happy for anything else? As the heavenly day ends, all we have is a ray of hope for the new year. As wishes are accumulated on this day, let us pray that everything happens according to him. I wish each and everyone of you a very 'Merry Christmas'.
