Tips And Suggestions on Decoration of Houses During Diwali

Diwali, a festival of lights is celebrated by Indians all over the world every year during the month of October and November. Diwali celebrations can last for about five days. Diwali is also known as Deepavali, Dipavali, Dewali, Deepawali, or the Festival of Light. Diwali is the most awaited festivals of the year. We are all sure that most houses have begun preprations.

Diwali preparations ussually begin with cleaning of the house and surroundings and decorating the house with beautiful lights and diyas. In case you’ve got no time and want this celebration with not much to spend, here are some easy tips/suggestion I’d recommend to make this the most brightest and colorful Diwali ever!

1. Diwali is never complete without the age-old tradition Rangoli. The traditional rangoli is the main decoration items which includes a number of elements like the flower, diyas, earthen pots etc. Get creative and add more elements to make them more pleasing.

2. Earthen lamps are commonly seen on Diwali decorations. Earthen lamps are easily accessible and affordable. Small cup shaped candles can also be used as an alternative

3. You can get creative with lamps by adding paints and glitters around it. Decorate them in the way you’d like it to be and hang them around your house.

4. Fill bowls with water and stick some floating candles in it. Add decorative items and fresh scent flower petals to make them mesmerizing

5. Follow the oriental style of paper lanterns that fly up in the air. Decorate them with different colours and glitter to make the lanterns more appealing. Paper lanterns in different colours and designs are going to light up your house and make them fancy.

These floating lanterns can be used this year in the most appropriate way possible. As the pandemic is still going on and with the current situation, family celebrations in most houses would not take place. So to make this celebration even better, all houses can light up floating lanterns and ascend them to the skies all at once. By doing so, it will be a remarkable moment for all participating in this celebration.

Also, do take good precautions while bursting crackers and lighting diyas. Take good care and together, let’s make this the happiest Diwali of all time.

May beauty of the festival of lights fill your home with happiness and may the new year bring joy, peace and prosperity in your life.

Wishing you and your family a very Happy Diwali!
