5000 KD fine and three-month jail for breaking home quarantine

Any expatriate who arrive in Kuwait and violate the home quarantine rule will be imprisoned for a period not exceeding three months and a fine not exceeding five thousand dinars or one of these two penalties.

This is as per law No. 8 of 1969 regarding health precautions to prevent communicable diseases, and its amendments.

MOH called upon everyone who comes from abroad to adhere to the regulations for the safety of self and society.

There is no flights coming in, then there is no point of this news. Before starting the flight, they are imposing fine.. Expat.. Go back... Expat go back..

In 19th century England they paid people to quarantine if they had smallpox. It made quarantine more reliable.


I think you need both - positive and negative reinforcement. There are going to be many people not wanting to admit minor symptoms or undergo tests if it means not being able to work and possible hefty fines. So I think they should give 5kd awards per day to people who are observing quarantine properly.
