500 patrol cars ready as new academic year starts Sunday

The interior ministry is taking all procedures to facilitate traffic as the new school year starts Sunday. The traffic department has arranged 500 patrol vehicles to be stationed around Kuwait to help regulate traffic.

As the new academic year starts on Sunday, 17th September, about 43,500 university students, and about 382,000 primary, intermediate, and secondary school students will join their academic journey on Sunday.

The traffic on the road is expected to increase with the start of the new academic year. Meanwhile to reduce the traffic, the Civil Service Commission approved flexible working hours for employees so that ministry employ can enter the attendance anytime between 7 am to 9 am. School hours also are now flexible with primary, secondary and higher classes starts at different time intervals.
