Husseiniyas across the country mark the beginning of the Ashura nights, around 5000 security officials, including female police officers, are deployed to secure 110 Husseiniyas across the country.

These security teams are responsible for protecting the sites and managing traffic, as per a pre-arranged plan with the owners of the Hussainiyas.

The police force is on high alert, with all members of the Interior Ministry from various sectors deployed throughout Muharram. These efforts of security personals to secure the Hussainiyas are directed by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Al-Nawaf.

Firefighting personnel were also present at the sites to ensure safety requirements, checking entrances, exits, and cooking equipment within the Hussainiyas and removing potential fire hazards.
