40 days official mourning; Public offices closed for three days

The State of Kuwait announced official mourning for 40 days with the closure of official departments for three days starting today, following the demise of the late His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

After an exceptional meeting held today, Tuesday, at Seif Palace, Council of Ministers headed by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, followed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh announced that all official departments will be closed for 3 days starting from Tuesday.
